Curran Coil Spring, Inc. was founded in July 1966 when John Curran and John Bachofner, formerly both employees of Zimmerman Spring, pooled their resources and started their own company. Over time, the company outgrew three different Portland locations before moving in 1984 to the present facility just south of Portland in Wilsonville.
John C. and John B. were partners until 1975 when John Curran sold his share of the company to John Bachofner. Mr. Curran continued to sell and market for Curran Coil Spring until his retirement in 1986. When John Bachofner retired in 2003, he sold the company to Jim Butler.
Jim originally began his spring career making springs for a competitor in 1979. He started with Curran Coil Spring as a coiler-operator in 1986 and quickly advanced to the position of Production Manager in 1988. In 2001, he became General Manager as John Bachofner moved into semi-retirement.
Over the years, Curran Coil Spring has dedicated itself to customer satisfaction — offering excellent service and high value products at competitive prices. We’ve worked hard to earn our solid reputation as a dependable supplier of quality springs, light stampings and wire forms throughout North America and beyond.
